DevSpeak (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is an AI-powered speaking practice application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use DevSpeak.

1. Information We Process

When you use DevSpeak, the app may process:

• Audio recordings you choose to make during speaking practice
• Transcriptions generated from your recordings
• AI-generated feedback based on your responses
• An anonymous installation identifier
• Subscription and purchase information necessary to manage DevSpeak Pro

2. How We Use Information

This information is used to provide DevSpeak’s functionality, including:

• Transcribing spoken responses
• Generating AI-powered speaking feedback
• Managing practice sessions and history
• Managing subscriptions and purchases
• Maintaining the reliability and security of the service

3. Audio and Transcriptions

Audio recordings are processed for transcription and feedback purposes.

DevSpeak does not intentionally maintain a permanent server-side archive of users’ audio recordings or transcripts. Practice information may be stored locally on the user’s device so that the user can access their practice history.

Users can delete locally stored practice data through the app.

4. Third-Party Services

DevSpeak uses third-party service providers necessary to operate the app, including:

• OpenAI, for AI-powered transcription and feedback
• RevenueCat, for subscription and purchase management
• Apple, for App Store distribution and payment processing

These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable agreements.

5. Data Retention

DevSpeak aims to retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the service.

Locally stored practice information can be deleted by the user from within the app.

6. Children’s Privacy

DevSpeak is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures designed to protect information processed through DevSpeak. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when DevSpeak or its data practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
